LUME
A bilingual daily devotional app: one reflection a day in a reading-first interface, with the account left optional.
- Expo
- React Native
- TypeScript
- Cloudflare Workers
$ trace "lume"
- daily reading
- device favourites
- optional account
- reminder after reading
The problem
A daily ritual only holds if opening the app leads straight to the day’s reading, not to a sign-up wall.
The constraint
The account is optional: favourites live on the device, and moving them into an account is always an explicit choice. Sign in with Apple is there when the reader wants sync.
The approach
Expo Router and React Native with a Cloudflare Worker for sign-in and favourites. One welcome screen leads to the reading; the reminder is offered only after it.
The outcome
In TestFlight while the App Store release is prepared; it will be a one-time paid download (R$ 1.99 in Brazil). The site is live at applume.site.
